Molduga
A Molduga lives under the sand in the Gerudo Desert, which is the only region the compendium writes down. You see a moving mound, not a body. It surfaces when it hears you, and the first hit from below is the one that deletes a row of hearts. Guts, a fin, and a jaw are the listed parts.

Bring it out of the sand
Stand on rock when you can. Sand is its road, and rock is where the mound stops. Throw a bomb flower onto the moving dune, or hit the dune with a shock arrow or a yellow Chuchu jelly. It has to come up to bite. That moment, while it is out and not yet back under, is the whole fight.
Do not fight it from the middle of an open dune with a metal shield up if you are using shock to surface it. The shock that pulls it out will also empty your hands. Wood or a non-metal shield, then the fin. When it dives, get off the sand again instead of chasing the mound on foot.
Fin, jaw, and guts
The fin and the jaw are the fuse parts. The jaw is the heavy one, closer to a hammer than to a horn you put on every stick. Guts are the elixir part. One Molduga is a lot of walking for three items, so kill it when you are already crossing the desert, not as a detour from a sky island.
There is no color tier in the table. No blue Molduga, no silver row with a blank cell. The desert one is the monster. After a Blood Moon the mound is back in the same sand. If you cannot see the dune moving, you are either on rock or you are looking at wind.
